Call for Applications for PHLL Board of Directors for 2023-2024

Friends of PHLL,

Each fiscal year (October 1st- September 30th) PHLL is required to confirm by membership vote,
a new board of directors (BOD).  Up to 25 director positions can be on the PHLL board.  The ballot committee is in process of creating a ballot for the upcoming election. Any person sincerely interested in active participation to further the objective of PHLL may apply to become a Regular Member and put their name on the ballot.

Key points/requirements for PHLL BOD Position:

  • Regular Members/BOD shall not be actively engaged in the promotion and/or operation of any other baseball/softball program. This includes coaching, managing, owning or any other form of management of a team or other youth baseball or softball organization other than a parent of a player unless approved by the Board of Directors.
  • All Regular Members wishing to be on the BOD must be in good standing with the league.
  • All BOD’s must register as a PHLL volunteer with the league at: PHLL Registration Site
  • All PHLL volunteers must submit and pass the Little League International background check.
  • All elected BOD members are expected to be actively involved in league operations as needed by the BOD. This may be above and beyond of only attending monthly BOD meetings. (Committee work, promotion activities, coaching, etc.)

The role of the PHLL BOD is extremely important. The management of the assets and affairs of PHLL shall be vested solely in BOD. The new BOD will vote for the officer positions for the league at a special organization meeting after the annual membership meeting to be held in the coming weeks.

Additional Notes: 

  • Regular Members of the league include all current Managers, Coaches, Volunteer Umpires, Board Members, Officers of the Board, and any other person who is recognized by the Board as a responsible, active volunteer in PHLL.
  • Active as it relates to a Regular Member is defined as providing 25 or more hours of service to PHLL per season.
  • Qualified PHLL Regular Members will receive notification of the election procedures no later than 10 days prior to the election date for the new board via email.
